Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

oksana ivanova

finds documents containing 'oksana' or 'ivanova'

oksana or ivanova

same as above

oksana and ivanova

finds documents containing both 'oksana' and 'ivanova'

oksana not ivanova

finds documents containing 'oksana' but not 'ivanova'

(oksana not ivanova) and Moscow

finds documents containing 'Moscow', plus 'oksana' but not 'ivanova'

finds documents containing words starting with 'web'
