Dear Mrs. Garrett:

I'm writing so you can add this "katyshka" person to your blacklist.

She only began writing me last week. I just noticed that some of her
sentences and paragraphs are verbatim with examples from your blacklist.
("But I was in huge delight from a reading of th book S. King ' The Dark
Tower ' , in my opinion, it's very interesting book , where the main hero
Roland is a purposeful man...." Etc. Same sentences, same typos!)

Summary:
I had noticed a number of weird profiles on Match.com...ones written by
(apparently) semi-literate American women in Des Moines, for
instance...One seductively dressed white lady claimed to be a conservative
black woman! The details were inconsistent.
So I was a little suspicious when this Katya wrote me. I've only recieved
3 or 4 e-mails from her. None have asked for money or big favors. In the
latest, she asked for my phone number, which I would have given if I
hadn't just stumbled across your scam-busting website today.
Katya looks a little too beautiful to be true. She sent me a couple of
professionally taken photos, to start with. (How many women have
professional photos like that?) I asked for some snapshots, and was
surprised and somewhat relieved when she sent some everyday shots of
herself with friends around the city.
I noticed that she rarely answered my questions directly, and instead
would go off on gushy tangents, which doesn't prove anything, but makes
sense if she is just cutting-and-pasting previously written material.
Katya's story is similar in part to your other blacklisted ladies:
--no phone at home
--she'll have to call me from the telegraph office
--her relatives all approve and are eager for us to get together
--she has to use the computer at the bar where she works (and the owner
will not let her use the phone there for personal use)
--she is inspired by her best friend, Elena, meeting her German
boyfriend, Bred, on the Internet. They found true love, and she wants the
same!

But what sealed it for me today were certain sentences, paragraphs and
typos identical to passages in previous scam letters on your blacklist. I
thank you for listing so much free information on your site. It saved me
a lot of time, emotional investment, and (possibly) money.
